Abstract
AN ORTHODOX APPROACH OF PSYCHOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTS was applied to prove the effect of low frequency vibration on the sound quality of the automobile audio equipment. The vibration transducers were installed in the automobile seat and energized by the adequately filtered music signal to give the passenger vibration of 40 to 150 Hz. The effectiveness was quantified by two kinds of experiments and a new automobile audio system utilizing this effect was proposed.
