Mathematical Model for Predicting the Rate of Heat Release and Exhaust Emissions in Idi Diesel Engines

A mathematical model has been developed for predicting the rate of heat release, and the concentration of exhaust nitric oxide and soot in swirl-chamber type diesel engines. In the course of the development of the model, emphasis is placed on representing the true physical picture of the processes in the combustion chamber from the microscopic point of view with the minimum of necessary approximations or arbitrarily selected equations.
