- The low temperature impact performance of an impact-modified polycarbonate was found to be superior to unmodified bisphenol-A polycarbonate in notched Izod and dart impact tests. High strength and ductile failures were observed for the modified grade. Good ductility was maintained after exposure to a variety of potentially hostile environmental parameters such as elevated temperatures, humidity and interior and exterior commercial paint systems. The effect of direct Florida exposure on paint adhesion and impact performance was also evaluated.
