Abstract
This paper presents the equivalent linearization technique as an engineering design tool used in assessing the ride quality of the articulated vehicle. This technique is employed with the objective of describing qualitatively and quantitatively the ride behavior of such vehicle, and evaluating the effect of system nonlinearities on the ride characteristics.
