TOPGUN provides graduate level training to select USN/USMC fighter aircrews for the purpose of developing instructors to act as weapons training officers in fleet fighter squadrons. TACTS is one of the key elements in providing the high quality of training required for these aircrews and is used on 70% of the syllabus sorties.
