Authors Abstract
Content
Downsizing of todays automobile has created component packaging problems for the automotive engineer. One solution has been the application of electroluminescent (E. L.) lighting in place of incandescent lighting. In addition to superior packaging and flexibility, this lighting provides softer, more uniform appearance with minimal weight and power consumption.
The purpose of this paper is to explain E. L. and its application to the automotive industry.
