Abstract
Many physical and funtional properties of gasket materials may be involved in determining their performance under specific sets of conditions. The selection of gasket materials is complex and based upon the interpretation of numerous interrelated factors which may affect performance. Certain guidelines may be employed to facilitate the selection process in a systematic manner with a good level of reliability.
