The United States Passenger Car Population Through 1985

Current and proposed changes in automotive and related areas make an understanding of the future composition of the domestic passenger car population increasingly important. This paper presents a projected profile of the passenger car population by model year. Much supplemental data are provided and discussed. Additionally, a discussion of the validity of the results and the techniques employed in the study is included.
