Abstract
This paper describes a diffused semiconductor strain gage pressure transducer designed for use as a manifold vacuum sensor in electronic ignition and electronic fuel injection systems.
The design philosophy, construction, and the calibration techniques used to enable the subject transducer to perform accurately over a broad range of environments and maintain this performance for thousands of miles without periodic recalibration, are discussed.
