Abstract
Hydraulic working pressures up to 5000 psi are adopted by the majority of European excavator OEMs. Best output performance is then obtained when the high-power density is governed and controlled by skillfully designed devices and their characteristics and combination possibilities are fully exploited. A number of practice-proven applications are described and their effect on the working performance of an excavator is outlined.
