Content
The purpose of this paper is to review progress in the development of simulators as a substitute for airborne training and the evolution of the Federal Aviation Rules, which have authorized expanded use of these devices. The paper discusses limitations of current simulators, areas where further development is needed, and also what we feel the future of simulators will be.
