Abstract
The previously used concept of a power shift transmission coupled with a manual transmission has been carried to completion in the Case RPS 34 transmission. Design limitations caused by retaining the basic housing dimensions of the standard manual transmission and the tractor hydraulic circuitry of the nonpower shift transmission were encountered and resolved with a unique control valve design and a compact power shift package.
