Abstract
Content
New developments in the field of high density sintered steel are reviewed. The appearance, microstructure, magnetic properties, and commercial methods of achieving desired density are described, as are properties resulting from heat treatment.
New processing methods, such as hot and cold forging and welding are expected to enhance further the development and use of powder metal fabrication.
