Abstract
Content
A look is taken at products liability law as it exists today and an attempt is made to measure some of its impact on the engineering profession. Alleged design defects are becoming an increasingly important target in products liability litigation. It would appear that, from the accumulated evidence, whether deservedly or not, engineers will continue, for the forseeable future, to be cast in the role of the bad guy in such litigation.
