The Michigan Tractor Scraper Suspension System

A suspension system for overhung tractor scrapers has been developed which markedly improves the life and performance of the machine by allowing relative motion between the drive axle and the tractor frame. This paper describes the suspension system and its influence on vehicle performance, structural life, safety, and ride comfort.
