Chrysler's 5 and 50 Warranty Program

Chrysler Corp.'s warranty of 5 years or 50,000 miles is based on an assurance of reasonable owner care. Records of periodic inspection of the vehicle must be kept for about 5-1/2 years; warranty claims are also recorded. Through a computer data processing system, Chrysler keeps a record on each car, follows its history, pays legitimate claims, and follows up questionable ones. Examples are presented.
