Authors Abstract
Content
The use of vinyl upholstery in automobiles depends on five major comfort factors: friction or “slip,” conductivity, specific heat, breathability of material, and breathability of seat structure. New materials provide vastly improved qualities over the first material introduced in 1955. The new materials are adaptable to vacuum forming a complete automobile interior from a single sheet of material.
