Heavy Duty Axle Design for Off-Road Operation

This paper describes the various types of front and rear axle designs used in heavy duty off-road applications, particularly in crane and mixer or dump vehicles. A method of application analysis is presented as a means of designing long life and maximum performance, as well as economical selection, into all vehicles of these general types.
