The development program of the Beechcraft Model 23 Musketeer is discussed with respect to the design philosophies and technical considerations involved. This primarily covers the techniques used in obtaining design simplification and resulting ease of producibility of the airplane. The use of thermoplastic materials and metal bonding in new applications is very extensive, and their specific applications are covered in the paper.
