DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS OF VEHICLES WHY, HOW, WHAT

The function of a dimensional analysis group in analyzing prototype and current production vehicles for comfort, seating, visibility, ride and handling characteristics are discussed, including the relationship of the group with the body and chassis design and development activities. Test techniques and equipment used in obtaining the information are described in this paper.
