Abstract
A prediction technique of aerodynamic noise using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is explained in this paper. Considering both flow structure and sound field in the near acoustic field are important to improve an automobile aerodynamic noise. To visualize the flow structure and sound field by using CFD results is useful for picking up a region where aerodynamic noise is generated. Especially, surface pressure fluctuations which contain both hydrodynamic and acoustic fluctuations are important to estimate the interior aerodynamic noise. Both fluctuations are induced by unsteady motions of vortices.
