Abstract
With the development of cooperative vehicle and infrastructure automatic driving technology, the intelligence degree of vehicles continues to increase, and the road traffic environment will transition from a single manual driving to a mixed transition of multiple control strategies. Compared with the conventional traffic flow, the traffic flow with multiple control strategies coexisting under the cooperative vehicle infrastructure system shows kinds of different characteristics. With the increasing participation of the autonomous vehicles in public transportation, a key point is the impact of autonomously driven vehicles on the driving environment. In order to analyze this problem more thoroughly, we selected the common bottleneck point of urban roads on-line bus stops as the research scenario, analyzed the impact of bus stops on traffic flow in a cooperative vehicle and infrastructure system furtherly. Based on the cellular automata simulation model and time headway strategy, we built a three-lane on-line bus stop section simulation scene with a mixture of four models (manually driven cars, autonomously driven cars, manually driven buses, and autonomously driven buses), proposes acceleration, deceleration and lane changing model that is more suitable for the cooperative vehicle and infrastructure system, and uses the model to analyze the impact of bus service time at bus stop, distribution of lane changing positions when entering the stop, the number of bus lines, and different control strategies on the traffic flow. The research results show that: (i) Compared with manually driven vehicles, autonomously driven vehicles are less affected by the road traffic environment. (ii) The addition of autonomously driven cars contributes to the improvement of road capacity. (iii) Under low volume, the increase in bus service time and the number of bus lines has aggravated the frequency of vehicle lane changes.
