Abstract
Wheel stress state is one of the important factors determining wheel reliability. The nonlinear influence of the tire on the wheel during actual use makes it difficult to obtain the multi-axial stress of the wheel through simulation calculation. This paper proposes a method based on bench test to study the stress state of car wheels. Firstly, starting from the two typical working condition of straight running and turning, the wheel dangerous point position is obtained. Then strain gauges are attached to the dangerous point of the wheel to analyze the stress changes of it under these two load conditions. The variation rules corresponding to different loading conditions are analyzed. Finally, the load conditions affecting the stress state of the wheel are found through comparative analysis. Through the above research, the measurement method and influencing factors of the stress state of the wheel during use are obtained. It provides guidance for wheel structure optimization and reliability prediction.
