A Study on the Improvement of NOx Reduction Efficiency for a Urea SCR System (Report NO.7)~Comparing Fe and Cu SCR Catalysts and Clarifying N₂O Formation Mechanism

At Urea SCR system, it is a challenge to improve behavior at low temperature. Therefore we focus Cu-Zeolite SCR catalyst to improve NOx reduction efficiency and compare Cu-Zeolite SCR and Fe-Zeolite SCR which has been used at previous report. Next, we investigate the mechanism of N₂O formation in DOC which reduces NH₃ desorbing from SCR catalyst at low temperature. The results have shown that NOx reduction rate advances as NH₃ supply increases in Cu-SCR catalyst, and that the N₂O formation process at DOC changes by temperature.
