Evaluation of Ventilation Characteristic in Vehicle~Impact of Airflow Rate and Non-Isothermal Condition on Ventilation Efficiencies

Abstract
High efficiency of HVAC system is required to improve the saving energy of vehicle. In this paper, the ventilation efficiencies were measured with simplified standard model of vehicle in isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. Besides, the ventilation amount was changed to evaluate the impact on ventilation efficiencies. As the results of experiment, the measured values of SVE3* of the middle inlets was changed 10% by non-isothermal condition and the SVE3* of the inlets in the vicinity of wall changed 16%. For the evaluation the impact on the age of air, an equation was proposed and it can estimate the age of air when the airflow rate changes.
