Effect of Antioxidant and Cold Flow Improver Addition in FAME on Fuel Properties and Diesel Exhaust Emissions

This paper describes the influence of cold flow improver (CFI) and antioxidant addition in FAME on low temperature behavior, oxidation stability and exhaust characteristic. From the experimental results, it is found that antioxidants have no influence on low temperature behavior. On the other hand, the results show that by CFI addition in FAME with amine type antioxidant the oxidation stability can be improved. Also, there are no changes in exhaust emission characteristics by addition of CFI and antioxidant.
