Development of a Method for Evaluating Seat Components in Consideration of Unpleasant High-Frequency Vibration~Realization of High-Quality Ride Performance

In regard to a ride-performance phenomenon in the relatively high frequency range of 30 to 100 Hz (namely, Busyness is felt from the seats while a car is in motion), an index for evaluating seat components on the basis of passenger sensibility was devised. In the present study, first, the sensation felt by a person in regard to the phenomenon whereby vibration is sensed from the seat surface was comprehensively investigated, and the relationship between the way the person senses this phenomenon and the physical amount of vibration was elucidated. Second, a method for evaluating seat components on the basis of that relationship was devised.
