Development of Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians System for Electric-Powered vehicles

Electric motor-driven vehicles are very quiet at low speeds, and people (especially the visually impaired) have difficulty recognizing that these vehicles are approaching. Nissan developed Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians system and studied what kind of sound and how the sound should be emitted. This report introduced the result of those studies.
