Abstract
The life of lithium-ion batteries for electrically propelled road vehicles (EPVs) must be improved to promote the diffusion of the vehicles, but there are currently no valid cycle-life test (CLT) profiles for the batteries. Although we developed CLT profiles for lithium-ion batteries based on an actual EPV's charge and discharge data at certification driving cycles in a previous study, generalization and validation of the profiles remains issues. Therefore, we developed a generalization method that changes peak output of CLT profiles using a discharge rate depending on battery capacity and verified the validity of the use of data at certification driving cycles.
