Abstract
Various engine bench tests including the common rail injector coking test were conducted in this study. The deposit formation of hydrotreated fuel, whose feedstock consisted of cracked fraction in high ratio, was compared with straight run sulfur-free diesel fuels. The results showed that the deposit formation behaviors were almost same in both fuels and there was no influence of blending cracked fuels on diesel engine deposit formation.
