The Effect of Fuel Compositions on Pre-Ignition Under High Temperature and High Pressure Condition by Imitating Boosted Engine

One possible issue of turbocharged engine is considered to be pre-ignition because of the high temperature and the high pressure in combustion chamber. This study shows the effect of fuel compositions on pre-ignition under high temperature and high pressure condition by imitating boosted engine. The result shows that the pre-ignition characteristics cannot be explained by anti-knock quality such as RON, and also pre-ignition tendency is effected by fuel compositions.
