Abstract
The results of this paper contribute toward improving overall NOPx reduction efficiencies and NH3 slip in an NH3-SCR system. The study is focused on the effects NH3 to NOx ratio, space velocity, gas temperature and concentration of NOx on the SCR system. NOx reduction efficiency, defined as NH3 to NOx ratio, is evaluated with changes in space velocity and gas temperature. Relations of NOx reduction and NH3 slip are compared under engine operation conditions. From these results, this paper offers the control strategy of NH3 injection to optimize NOx reduction efficiency and NH3 slip.
