Abstract
Content
This paper outlines a possible simulation approach for the thermal behavior of prismatic Lithium Ion Cells. The starting point is the modeling of a single cell, followed by an assembly of ten cells combined to one pack with the integration of forced cooling systems, e.g. liquid or air-cooling. An arrangement of about four to ten aforementioned packs leads to a complete simulation model for an entire battery-module.
