According to turbocharger, the higher the pressure ratio is, the narrower the flow range of high pressure of compressor would be [1]. One of effective solutions for this problem is to design the inlet of compressor as SRCT (Self-Recirculating Casing Treatment) structure. Usage of SRCT can make the surge line of compressor not bend, enlarge the flow range of high pressure of compressor, and give a steady performance of compressor. However, results of the experiment indicate that a compressor with SRCT device is easier to wear out due to the larger incidence angle and higher relative velocity between impeller edges and dust particle from SRCT outside inlet channel. The experiment shows that adding inlet retaining ring in SRCT device can effectively reduce impellers abrasion caused by dust particle.
