Abstract
For energy security, CO2 reduction on Kyoto protocol and so on, the countries and/or regions which use diesel fuel-mixed FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) are increasing. Crude vegetable oil for FAME, the mixed rate with FAME and diesel fuel, and those qualities are different in each country. Therefore the effect of FAME-mixed diesel fuel may be different. The effects on emission and fuel system parts with common rail system were investigated by engine test and rig test using diesel fuel-mixed SME (Soybean Methyl Ester) and RME (Rapeseed Methyl Ester). RME and SME showed partially different effects.
