Abstract
Vehicle drift is a phenomenon where the driver should apply a constant correction torque to the steering wheel in order to keep a straight-line course of the vehicle in high-speed driving. This paper presents an investigation study into the parameter characteristics of a vehicle experiencing steering drift in high-speed driving. The aim of the work is to study vehicle stability and the causes of vehicle drift and pull during straight-line driving to minimize drift and hence optimize vehicle design factor.
