Combination of low-temperature premixed combustion and Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) fuel can reduce diesel emission and improve full-load power performance. Experimental investigations were conducted on a single-cylinder direct injection diesel engine to examine the effect of combining combustion factor and fuel properties. In this paper, examining possibility of emission and power performance improvement by optimizing GTL fuel properties on ignition and combustion characteristics were examined.
