At present, several kinds of anemometers are used in meteorological wind speed and direction measurements, but have limits of mechanical strength. In this study a meteorological anemometer system with 24-hole probe has been developed without moving parts whose mechanical strength is high.
144 calibration maps are created from the data gotten by the calibration experiment beforehand, and the wind direction and speed are obtained by putting the measured pressures into the maps. Thus, the measurable yaw and pitch angle ranges are ±180 and ±32 degrees respectively.
