Abstract
In order to evaluate the applicability of bioethanol made from wood, fuel property evaluation, immersion test, emission test and evaporative emission test have been done and compared with the result of bioethanol made from sugarcane. When using bioethanol, reid vapor pressure tend to increase and aldehyde emission tends to increase even under 3%. However the effect of bioethanol made from wood is almost same as that of bioethanol made from sugarcane. Methanol, fusel oil and ethyl acetate are characteristic impurities for this bioethanol. But, these impurities don't effect when bioethanol is used under 3%.
