Abstract
Nanoparticle emission behavior of a heavy-duty diesel vehicle equipped with the urea SCR system correspondent to Japan 2005 regulation was investigated. Size distribution was measured by differential mobility spectrometer (DMS) and the PPFDII under the controlled humidity and temperature. Under the transient test cycle, nuclei mode particles were hardly observed and accumulation mode particles were reduced by comparison with the base engine correspondent to Japan 1998 regulation. By the experiment of with and without injection of aqueous urea solution into the urea SCR system, it was clarified that the urea SCR system did not affect the particle size distribution.
