Authors Abstract
Content
Growing requirements to performance of IC engines enforce progress of control systems. These requirements combined with introduction of control algorithms that could be synthesized only in experimental way were the foundations of control-oriented modeling techniques. The paper presents the assumptions and requirements toward control oriented models and a model of an SI engine working in idle speed. Some results of identification and verification tests of the model are presented for the Polonez 1.5 GLI engine.
