Diesel particulate filter (DPF) is essential for substantial reduction of particulate matter that is contained in emission gas of diesel engine. Catalyzed DPF was equipped on small commercial trucks first in Japan. In this paper, the outline of specifications of filter substrate and the coated catalyst, the performance of gas conversion, soot regeneration and durability of the catalyzed DPF for DE is explained.
