Abstract
A major concern on product development is to meet local markets legal requirements. Pass by noise (PBN) test is standardized and is used to homologate vehicles. Main contributors are power train, exhaust, air intake system and tires.
The objective of this paper is to show tires contribution in final results of pass by noise measurements. Tests were done using tires of different suppliers (brand), origins and specifications.
