Abstract
Impact harshness is an important phenomenon for vehicle noise and vibration development. To simulate real situations engineering uses the impact strip tests where strips are adequately placed on a smooth road to induce impulsive excitation in tire/suspension system. The acquisitions are done with equipment to process and analyze the signals.
The objective of this paper is to verify how the parameters as resolution time and window can influence the final results in SONES. This measurement using SONES must correlate with subjective evaluation to be a proper tool on engineering development.
