Authors Abstract
Content
This work studies the aerodynamics through experimental techniques of a prototype motorcycle designed and built in Venezuela, whose components are made of manufactured Venezuelan materials around 60%. The main goal is to determine the drag, lift and moment coefficients. A similitude analysis over the prototype was done. The wind tunnel used is not featured to study vehicles models, so we have to use an elevated ground plane to generate the ground effect. Moreover, it is studied the wake of the motorcycle and a visualization of the airflow on the motorcycle is done by mean of fluorescent tufts technic.
