Abstract
This paper summarizes selected enhancements provided by advanced tapered roller bearing solutions in automotive driveline applications. It also provides an objective comparison, based on test results, with alternative angular contact ball bearing arrangements. An extensive experimental and analytical investigation has been conducted in order to quantify the advantages of the newly developed bearing system.
