- In the early stages of development, the computational acoustic analysis predicts the radiated noise and speeds up the optimisation process of gearbox housing design. Increased noise radiation is related with resonance oscillations. At peak frequencies, it is important to understand the complex behavior of the assembly. By means of graphic animation, it is possible to show the interaction of all internal CVT-components with the gearbox housing. Based on this knowledge, promising counter measures are conceived and their effectiveness is evaluated through acoustic simulation.
