Authors Abstract
Content
Currently the ballistic protection of the ground-based vehicles is purely based on the passive protection by metallic and non-metallic armour alone. The revolution in the information technologies and the advancement in the electronic field had an impact on the protective armour systems. Armour systems are becoming intelligent, smarter and lighter due to the influence of the information technologies. This paper highlights the emerging technologies in the protective armour systems due to the revolution in the information technologies.
