Application of Laser Welding on Automotive Bodies

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION has applied laser welding on automotive bodies since 1999. Through a common utilization of equipments, the goal of productivity improvements can be achieved. For this purpose, we have developed original tools and equipments. Following is a description of the laser welding equipments and processes that have been introduced by Toyota Motor Corporation.
