Abstract
Considering their future characteristics, building a headlamp with white LEDs only might be soon possible. The cost of LEDs' lumens, their low luminance and their huge difference with traditional bulbs as light sources make new optical designs necessary. Projector modules appear to be the best basis for these new systems. Efficient versions, especially fitted to LEDs, which were recently designed and tested, are described.
